Vipingo Beach

OverView

Vipingo is another relatively small coastal village, and lies about 30 kilometres north of Mombasa. This area of the coast consists mainly of small local swahili villages, and residential properties near the beach. The main beaches in the Vipingo area are Vipingo Beach and Kuruwitu Beach. Inland from the beach are expansive sisal plantations, interspersed with monolithic Baobab trees.

The Vipingo Beach Estate holiday homes are all situated along Bureni Beach, a fantastic, and largely unknown part of the Kenyan coast. Vipingo Beach Estate is half-way between Mombasa and Kilifi so is easily accessed from the airport, train-station and town-centre. There are three long white sandy beaches for you to explore, which are well protected and totally unspoilt.

The crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean are warm and inviting all year round. This land until recently was owned by a sisal plantation and has only in the last 20 years been sold off for residential purposes. This means that all of the beachfront coast houses (large and small) situated along the Bureni Beaches are all newly constructed, modern, well-appointed holiday homes, suitable for families, or groups of friends holidaying together. All of the houses are situated within a walled, gated estate that has a 24hr manned gate and very good security, for example there is an electric fence that surrounds the entire estate and there are many security guards patrolling the Estate day and night. Most of the properties enjoy an elevated position on the top of the cliffs and offer spectacular panoramic ocean-views. Whales, turtles and dolphins are often spotted from the cliff-tops splashing about in the waves below.

All properties have been personally selected and accommodate groups of four to ten guests. Most houses have swimming pools and all have good beach access so are perfect for family holidays or just a quiet ‘let’s get away from it all’ break!
